the "sage" forecaster

Posted by

sage is known for its preponderance to bloom several days before it rains.
a month a ago this fellow, Leucophyllum frutescens, bloomed a few days before a rain event: we got a hundreth of an inch...yippee. so when it bloomed again before the latest forecast for this week, i was skeptical.
but alas, it was RIGHT! we've had a multi-inch rain event here in north texas. yippee, for real :)
